Last updated: 2026-04-26
This Privacy Policy explains how Sandbox Axe Throwing ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you book one of our experiences, visit our website at {{site_url}}, contact us, or visit us in person at 19417 Jollyville RD, Austin, TX, 78660.
This policy covers privacy only: what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you may have. Safety rules, participation risks, and related acknowledgments are handled in our participant waiver and other applicable policies.
If anything below is unclear, email us at jarvis@crewxi.com and we'll explain it in plain English.
1. What we collect
When you book an experience, create an account, sign a waiver, contact us, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information — such as your name, email address, and phone number.
- Booking information — such as the experience you booked, including axe throwing, escape rooms, splatter paint, axe splatter, in-person rentals, your date and time, group size, add-ons, special requests, and participant details you provide.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number. We receive limited transaction details such as confirmation status, amount paid, and partial payment identifiers like the last four digits.
- Waiver and participant information — information provided in connection with a participant waiver, such as name, date of birth or age confirmation, emergency contact details, and any accessibility or accommodation information you choose to share.
- Communications — emails, texts, calls, voicemails, contact form submissions, and messages you send us, plus our responses.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive promotional emails or text messages.
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information — such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings.
- Usage information — such as pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring website, and actions taken on the site, including booking activity.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for more detail.
If you share accessibility or accommodation information so we can better support your visit, we use that information only as needed to provide that accommodation and limit access to staff or service providers who need it.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Manage bookings and deliver the experiences you request.
- Communicate with you about your reservation, waiver completion, arrival details, scheduling changes, and customer support.
- Process payments, refunds, and basic bookkeeping.
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages related to an active booking.
- Send marketing messages only if you have opted in, and process your unsubscribe or opt-out requests.
- Provide requested accommodations and support your in-person experience.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our website, booking flow, and customer experience.
- Monitor for misuse, fraud, chargebacks, and other activity that may affect our business or customers.
- Meet recordkeeping, tax, legal, and compliance obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to operate our business and provide your booking:
- Stripe — to process payments and related transactions. Stripe's Privacy Policy: stripe.com/privacy.
- Email and SMS providers — to send confirmations, reminders, support messages, and, if you opt in, marketing communications.
- Hosting, booking, and analytics providers — including providers that help run our website and systems, such as Vercel and Supabase, and process technical data like IP addresses, logs, and usage events.
- Marketing and analytics platforms — such as Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook, and TikTok, if enabled based on your cookie choices or marketing interactions.
- Professional or legal recipients — when reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, enforce our policies, collect amounts owed, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business successors — if our business is sold, merged, reorganized, or its assets are transferred, customer information may be included in that transaction.
Some of these providers may process information on systems that operate in multiple countries. We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary for the service provided.
4. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand how people use the booking flow.
For details about the cookies we use, your choices, and how to manage consent, please see our Cookie Policy. Where our site offers a cookie banner or consent tool, you can use it to manage non-essential cookies.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to operate the business, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or tax obligations.
In general:
- Booking records and completed waivers — kept for at least seven years from the booking date.
- Payment and transaction records — kept as needed for accounting, tax, chargeback, and reconciliation purposes.
- Marketing contact information — kept until you unsubscribe or opt out, after which we may retain limited information to honor that preference.
- Account information — kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward unless deletion is requested and no retention need applies.
- Support messages and correspondence — kept as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, maintain business records, and resolve follow-up issues.
- Website logs and analytics data — retained for shorter periods where practical, or longer if aggregated or de-identified.
When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, de-identify it, or retain only what is necessary for backup, legal, compliance, or recordkeeping purposes.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

If you are a California resident, or if you live in another place with similar privacy rights, you may also have the right to know more about the categories of information we collect, the sources of that information, the purposes for which it is used, and the categories of third parties with whom it is disclosed. This policy is intended to provide that information at a general level, and you may contact us for more detail.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy rights, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Children
Our experiences may involve minors depending on the activity and supervision requirements, but our services are not directed to children as independent users of our website or booking system.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate consent from a parent or guardian. When a parent, guardian, or group organizer provides participant information for a minor in connection with a booking or waiver, we use that information only to manage the booking, participation, and related communications.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please email jarvis@crewxi.com and we will review and address the request.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures include secure connections, access controls, and limiting payment card handling by using Stripe so that we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data incident affecting your personal information, we will respond in a manner consistent with our obligations and our service provider arrangements.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when this version was most recently revised. If we make material changes, we may post notice on our website or contact active customers using the information we have on file.
